Harford Weather Forecast
The weather forecast data is generated by importing a third-party RSS feed, sourced from NOAA. I set up an automated process which pulls in the data once an hour and imports it into a MySQL database. The forecast is then made available immediately and upon demand, see page link below. I also create a 5-day forecast banner graphic each hour, pictured below.

These functions pull down the weather data for the last 24 hours and display them in a line graph. Graphs are displayed as a PNG file. Please allow a minute for the server to process data and download the image.

Note: graphs may fail to render if non-numeric data (garbage) gets into the database. This happens if there is an error at the weather station or during data transmission. Stuff happens!
